  • Town Tamer -- Formula Western directed by Lesley Selander has an aging lawman (Dana Andrews) working on his own to clean up a corrupt town run by a gambler (Bruce Cabot) aided by a crooked judge (Pat O'Brien) and an ambivalent marshal (Lyle Bettger). Matters worsen when the townspeople (led by Lon Chaney and Richard Arlen) turn to vigilante justice. Stylized violence, including an abused wife. (A-II) (br) ( 1965 )

    The classifications are as follows:

    A-I -- general patronage;
    A-II -- adults and adolescents;
    A-III -- adults;
    L -- limited adult audience, films whose problematic content many adults would find troubling. L replaces the previous classification, A-IV.
    O -- morally offensive.

    Note: Some movies previously were designated A-IV. Older films with this classification should be regarded as classified L.
