  • Too Much Too Soon -- In this account of the troubled life of Diana Barrymore (Dorothy Malone), she leaves her domineering mother, writer Michael Strange (Neva Patterson), for an acting career in Hollywood but fails badly, then sees her father, John Barrymore (Errol Flynn), die of alcoholism and becomes one herself. Directed by Art Napoleon, the glossy proceedings have little depth and are mostly unconvincing, except for Flynn's compelling performance as a gifted actor who's lost his bearings. Violence, sexual situations and alcoholic excess. (A-III) (br) ( 1958 )
