  • Tomorrow Never Dies -- The 18th James Bond movie finds superagent 007 (Pierce Brosnan) out to prevent a maniacal missile-bearing media magnate (Jonathan Pryce) from instigating a war between England and China in order to boost ratings for his new global news network. Directed by Roger Spottiswoode, the explosive action is virtually non-stop, bypassing Bond's supposed suave sophistication in favor of numbingly mindless mayhem. Excessive violence, sexual innuendo and fleeting profanity. (O) (PG-13) ( 1997 )

    These movies have been evaluated for artistic merit and moral suitability by the media reviewing division of Catholic News Service. The reviews include the CNS rating, the Motion Picture Association of America rating, and a brief synopsis of the movie.

    A-I -- general patronage;
    A-II -- adults and adolescents;
    A-III -- adults;
    L -- limited adult audience, films whose problematic content many adults would find troubling. L replaces the previous classification, A-IV.
