  • Tomahawk Trail, The -- Low-budget Western follows the misfortunes of a U.S. cavalry patrol after its horses are stolen by hostile Apaches, its lieutenant goes balmy and a sergeant (Chuck Connors) leads the troopers on foot to Fort Bowie where they find the garrison massacred. Directed by Lesley Selander, the story of the hard-luck patrol is mostly about men in combat or preparing for it, though the outcome relies on the friendship between the daughter of the Apache chief and a white woman captive.     The classifications are as follows:

    A-I -- general patronage;
    A-II -- adults and adolescents;
    A-III -- adults;
    L -- limited adult audience, films whose problematic content many adults would find troubling. L replaces the previous classification, A-IV.
    O -- morally offensive.

    Note: Some movies previously were designated A-IV. Older films with this classification should be regarded as classified L.
