  • Spysmasher Returns -- Choppy feature edited from a serial based on the title comic-book character of an American (Kane Richmond) who returns from fighting Nazis in Occupied France to take on a Nazi spy ring in the States, getting help along the way from his identical twin brother. Directed by William Witney, Spysmasher's fantasy heroics are about as convincing as his caped uniform and aviator goggles. Stylized violence and hokey menace. (A-I) (br) ( 1942 )
