  • Murder on a Honeymoon -- Once again, prim schoolteacher Hildegarde Withers (Edna May Oliver) and NYPD inspector Oscar Piper (James Gleason) join forces in solving the case of a stolen corpse on Catalina Island. Directed by Lloyd Corrigan, the gangland murder mystery is secondary to the comical bickering between sleuths, with the amateur always one step ahead of the professional. Some stylized violence, considerable menace and comic racial stereotyping. (A-II) (br) ( 1935 )
