  • Murder -- Creaky but interesting mystery in which a single juror (Herbert Marshall) refuses to join the others in convicting a young actress (Norah Baring) on trial for murder, then tries to prove her innocence by reenacting the crime. Directed by Alfred Hitchcock, the mystery involves a number of colorful suspects among a seedy theatrical troupe, but the events leading up to the homicide are often murky and the solution is not completely satisfying. Sexual situations and innuendo. (A-III) (br) ( 1930 )
