Mummy, The -- Slack British remake of the 1932 original about the vengeance taken by a 4,000-year-old mummy (Christopher Lee) on the archeologists (notably Peter Cushing) who violated the tomb of which it was the guardian. Directed by Terence Fisher, the narrative plods along with little action or tension until the mummy shows up in 1898 England. Some stylized violence and menace. (A-II) (br) ( 1959 )

The classifications are as follows:

A-I -- general patronage;
A-II -- adults and adolescents;
A-III -- adults;
L -- limited adult audience, films whose problematic content many adults would find troubling. L replaces the previous classification, A-IV.
O -- morally offensive.
