  • The Limey -- Stylish thriller in which a tough Cockney (Terence Stamp) gets out of prison and flies to Los Angeles to investigate the death of his daughter, then tangles with a drug mob, hit men and security agents protecting the wealthy music producer (Peter Fonda) he comes to suspect murdered her. Director Steven Soderbergh uses the formula action plot to probe the ex-con's character through flashbacks and voice-overs that help provide some human significance to the deadly proceedings. Much stylized violence, some sexual references, considerable rough language and occasional profanity. (A-III) (R) ( 1999 )
