  • Little Big League -- Lightweight comedy in which an 11-year-old (Luke Edwards) inherits ownership of the Minnesota Twins baseball team from his grandfather (Jason Robards) and appoints himself manager, determined to inspire the players (including Timothy Busfield and Jonathan Silverman) out of a losing slump. Though director Andrew Scheinman doesn't deliver a home-run baseball comedy, he does fashion the breezy storyline and likable characters into a generally appealing, minor-league movie. Fleeting sexual innuendo and an instance of profanity. (A-II) (PG) ( 1994 )

    These movies have been evaluated for artistic merit and moral suitability by the media reviewing division of Catholic News Service. The reviews include the CNS rating, the Motion Picture Association of America rating, and a brief synopsis of the movie.

    A-I -- general patronage;
    A-II -- adults and adolescents;
    A-III -- adults;
    L -- limited adult audience, films whose problematic content many adults would find troubling. L replaces the previous classification, A-IV.
