  • Lisbon -- Muddled intrigue with a classy crook (Claude Rains) hiring a suave smuggler (Ray Milland) to pick up an American industrialist from an Iron Curtain prison, but complications arise when the industrialist's wife (Maureen O'Hara) falls for the smuggler. Also directed by Milland, the contrived proceedings are woefully unconvincing despite lovely Portuguese locales. Stylized violence, romantic complications and a wife ordering her husband's murder. (A-III) (br) ( 1956 )
