  • Forbin Project, The -- An enormous self-sustaining and unjammable computer complex coordinating all U.S. military defenses locates a Soviet counterpart and together they plan a benevolent dictatorship guaranteeing peace and a better way of life for the peoples of the world at the expense of their freedom. A kind of horror film with contemporary allusions, director Joseph Sargent's movie has moments of genuine interest in its depiction of a modern electronic Frankenstein controlling humanity's fate but incapable of any human emotion or spiritual growth. Mild bedroom sequence. (A-III) (GP) ( 1970 )
