Daydreamer, The -- French comedy starring Pierre Richard (who also wrote and directed) as an eager but completely absent-minded art director for an advertising agency, where his wacky ideas prove so sensationally successful that they finally arouse the public to violence. In satirizing the vagaries of a consumer society, Richard's talent for remaining oblivious to all the chaos caused by his innocent eccentricities is in the best tradition of visual comedy.
