  • Dave -- Conniving White House Chief of Staff (Frank Langella) dupes a patriotic businessman (Kevin Kline) into impersonating the comatose President while the estranged First Lady (Sigourney Weaver) grows increasingly suspicious as the lookalike begins to reform the government. In typical Hollywood fashion, director Ivan Reitman's lightweight comedy affably presents populist themes and simplistic solutions grounded in feel-good fantasy. Brief bedroom scene, fleeting shadowed nudity and an instance of profanity. (A-III) (PG-13) ( 1993 )

    A-I -- general patronage;
    A-II -- adults and adolescents;
    A-III -- adults;
    L -- limited adult audience, films whose problematic content many adults would find troubling. L replaces the previous classification, A-IV.
