  • Daughter of Rosie O'Grady, The -- Pleasant 1890's musical in which a young woman (June Haver) disgruntles her father (James Barton) by trying to emulate her deceased mom's vaudeville success with the help of a top singer (Gordon MacRae) and a star hoofer (Gene Nelson). Directed by David Butler, the sentimental proceedings offer an agreeable mix of romance, comedy and musical numbers, with Barton especially good as the obstinate father and veteran song-and-dance performer. Romantic complications and mild sexual innuendo. (A-II) (br) ( 1950 )
